Gentleman presented with severe left #shoulderpain without a trauma. He then developed severe weakness in his shoulder. My working #diagnosis is #parsonageturnersyndrome.
In the first picture, you can see the thickness of the #deltoid measured in letters (haha.). In the 2nd picture look at how much smaller the deltoid is. It’s also very bright in comparison. This is very characteristic of denervated muscle under #ultrasound. Next step is for #emg to confirm the diagnosis and give #prognosis.
